Cycling Tours in Provence
Discover our cycling tours in Provence — designed for every type of rider, every type of stay, and every version of Provence you want to explore.
CYCLING TOURS IN PROVENCE — FOR EVERY TYPE OF STAY
Provence by bike is not one experience. It is dozens of them, layered on top of each other depending on how much time you have, how hard you want to ride, and which part of the region you want to get to know.
ACCESSIBLE TO ALL LEVELS
Our cycling tours are designed for everyone — from experienced cyclists looking for a physical challenge to beginners who simply want to discover the region at a gentler pace.
Every itinerary can be adapted. The distance, the elevation, the daily rhythm — none of it is fixed. We build each tour around the riders doing it, not the other way around. And for those who want to cover more ground without worrying about the climbs, our electric bike option is available on all our tours, across all formats.
Cycling in Provence is not a sport reserved for people in lycra. It is a way of travelling. Our job is to make it accessible to anyone who wants to try it.
TWO FORMATS, TWO DIFFERENT WAYS TO EXPERIENCE PROVENCE
We organise our cycling tours in Provence around two main formats, each with its own logic and its own rhythm.
Short stays and weekend getaways — 2 to 4 days. You pick one area, you ride it well, and you go home with a real experience. The Luberon over a long weekend. The Dentelles de Montmirail from Friday to Monday. These trips are compact, efficient and surprisingly complete. They are ideal for first-timers and for experienced riders who cannot get more than a few days away.
Stays of 5 days and more. This is where Provence really opens up. You have the time to move through different landscapes, to cross from one area to the next, to slow down properly. The lavender fields of the Valensole plateau, the cols above Vaison-la-Romaine, the quiet roads of the Alpilles — a longer stay lets you connect the dots. It changes the way you see the region.
Both formats are supported end to end. Luggage transfers, accommodation, roadbooks, GPS tracks and our team available throughout. The only difference is how much of Provence you get to see.
A VARIETY OF ROUTES AND LANDSCAPES
Provence is one of the most diverse cycling regions in France. Within a radius of a hundred kilometres, you can ride flat vineyard roads, forested mountain passes, exposed limestone ridges and gentle river valleys. No two days look the same.
Our cycling tours in Provence are built to reflect that variety. We do not send everyone on the same loop. We match the route to the rider — their level, their interests, the time of year and the experience they are looking for.
Some riders want to climb Mont Ventoux. Others want to spend three days drifting through the Luberon without ever looking at an elevation profile. Both are valid. Both are possible. We have routes for all of it.
WHY RIDE WITH RIDE & MORE
There are many ways to cycle in Provence. You can plan everything yourself, rent a bike and figure it out on the road. Some people love that. But if you want to make the most of limited time in a region you do not know well, having someone local in your corner changes the experience considerably.
We know which roads to avoid on market days. We know where to eat in Gordes on a Sunday without booking three weeks in advance. We know which version of the Mont Ventoux climb suits a rider who has never done it before. That is not information you find easily online.
Our concierge service is available throughout your stay — for route adjustments, restaurant recommendations, last-minute changes or simply a conversation about what to do if the weather turns. We are not an automated booking platform. We are a team of people who ride these roads ourselves and genuinely want your trip to be good.
DISCOVER PROVENCE AT YOUR OWN PACE
That is ultimately what cycling tours in Provence are about. Not the kilometres. Not the cols. Not the itinerary on paper.
It is the moment you crest a hill and see the Luberon laid out in front of you for the first time. It is stopping at a fountain in a village that has not changed in two hundred years. It is sitting down for lunch at noon with nowhere to be until evening.
Travelling by bike forces a kind of attention that other forms of travel rarely produce. You notice things. You remember things. You come back from a cycling tour in Provence with a different relationship to the region than you would from any other kind of trip.
That is what we are trying to give you. The rest is logistics — and we handle that.
